Frank Lloyd Wright’s

Southwestern Pennsylvania

Skyline Ink had the great honor of creating photorealistic animations for unrealized Frank Lloyd Wright designs for a joint exhibit by Fallingwater and The Westmoreland Museum of American Art. Collaboration and research began in 2019, and after pandemic scheduling delays and many production hours, the exhibits opened nearly five years later in October of 2023. Animations for the Westmoreland exhibit featured three Pittsburgh projects and two projects for the property surrounding Fallingwater. Those two Fallingwater projects were exhibited in the Speyer Gallery at Fallingwater, along with drawings and animations for two additional projects.

A largescale tri-screen presentation explored the Pittsburgh projects with music composed and conducted by Daniel May, performed by the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, and adapted from “My Father’s House” (Zero Ted Music, BMI), with music coordination by MCG Jazz and Marty Ashby.

The exhibit traveled to the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. where it opened in April of 2024 and remains through March 17, 2025. Click here to see a short video of the Westmoreland exhibition.

The largescale tri-screen animation of the Pittsburgh projects is the winner of two Telly Awards in the record-breaking 45th Annual Telly Awards. The Telly Awards honors excellence in video and television across all screens and is judged by leaders from video platforms, television, streaming networks, and production companies, with nearly 13,000 entries from across the globe. This animation earned a Silver Telly in the Non-Broadcast - Fully Animated Piece category and a Bronze Telly in Non-Broadcast - Museums & Galleries, competing with all types of video produced for museums and galleries.
