15 YEARS
Skyline Ink was honored to celebrate our 15th Anniversary with the exhibit ARTtech15 Years, hosted by Artspace at Untitled. Installations ranged from tempera paintings and furniture to computer animation and an interactive mechanical sculpture. A 45-foot tri-screen projection immersed viewers in architectural animation, and multiple screens featured both recent and older works created by Skyline Ink. The team's latest creative exercise took center stage with a large-scale particle machine. The suspended system created particle patterns based on interactive cameras. Videogame technology merged with classic electronics, handcrafted mechanics and familiar materials. A wave of the viewer's hand directed ports to open, allowing tiny glass beads to flow in varying patterns for visual and auditory effect. Materials ranged from walnut and brass to electronics and wiring. Special thanks goes to ARTSPACE at Untitled: www.1ne3.org.
